J Torofdar — CEO.

Services, treatments and facilities

  • The practice provides general private dental care.
  • We also provide short-term orthodontics to patients over the age of 18 years old.
  • We provide private treatment for children and adults.
  • Patients have the opportunity to be seen on a private basis under a capitation scheme administered by Practice Plan, or on a fee-per-item basis.
  • The premises are a modified house, with two dental surgeries on the first floor and one on the ground floor.
  • We do not currently have access for patients requiring wheelchair access, as the surgeries are on the first floor and the entrance is restricted.

Complaints

At Jamil Dental, we work hard to keep patients happy and to meet the standard of care and service they expect from us. If something does go wrong, we deal with it quickly and fairly. Confidentiality is maintained throughout any complaint we handle, and we make sure nobody is treated differently for having raised a concern.

Should you need to raise a complaint, please mention it to a member of the reception team as soon as you can. They will put you in touch with Emily Brown (Group Manager), who leads on complaint handling for the practice. You can complain verbally, by phone on 01685 813989, or by email to jtpdlimited@gmail.com. In writing: FAO Emily Brown, Jamil Dental, 56 High Street, Hirwaun, CF44 9SW.

An acknowledgement of your complaint will be made within two working days of it being received, and a brief history of your complaint will be taken at that point. Usually, some time will then be needed to investigate. You should let our complaints manager know if you do not want the treating dentist to be informed or involved at this stage. We aim to resolve all complaints within ten working days from receipt, but where the issue is likely to take longer to investigate, we will let you know at the earliest possible time, giving reasons for the expected delay. You will then be contacted with the findings of our investigation and invited to attend a meeting to discuss possible options for resolution.
